Hello cliffagreen@cliffagreen, I have just read your story and it moved me. Thank you for being so open about the difficult months and for the courage to change your life, leaving apartment life to pursue your writing and photography on a permaculture farm. I work on a small farm in the Marche hills in Italy, so I know what early mornings and daily work on the land mean. Your routine of feeding and watering the pigs, goats and chickens at 6:30, cutting firewood, building pens and planting rows is hard work, but I am sure it gives a lot back in peace and in feeling close to nature.

I enjoyed the details about the Humptulips River and the funny story behind the name too. This post is a few months old, so I am curious: how is farm life going now, and did you manage to get your camera back?
