Hello again @cliffagreen! "The Silent Grass" is a short story that stays with the reader. In so few lines you build a very tense atmosphere: the burnt muffins, the floral dress he likes, the uncomfortable heels, the three locks on the door, and the grass and sunshine she can see but cannot reach. It is a difficult subject, treated with great delicacy and without overdoing it, and the hint of the "never child" says a lot with very few words.
The ending is my favorite part. The forgotten lock and her legs becoming leaves of grass leave the door open to hope, and I like that you leave it ambiguous. Did the final image of the leaves of grass come to you first, or did you build the story towards it?
