It doesn't look to me like it's flowering yet. When you start to see little white fuzzy hairs coming out of those spots, than you can assume it has started to flower. At least that's my understanding,

I'm glad it turned out as well as it did for you! I had a lump removed from my right boob a couple of years ago, it was benign, but it kept growing, so they took it out. It is a scary thing to go through...
