How have you dealt with stress or heartbreak? That’s an interesting question that caught my attention; I saw it in this new post on [The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt #48: How did you deal with stress or heartbreak?](https://peakd.com/hive-106316/@hive-106316/the-silverbloggers-chronicles-prompt-48-how-did-you-deal-with-stress-or-heartbreak). If someone had asked me this question a few years ago... my answers would have been different, both for dealing with stress and for dealing with heartbreak. In the past, I really enjoyed getting together with friends and some of my family to get through those times when stress got the better of me, and if it was a heartbreak, I used the same approach: going to parties, taking walks, listening to music, writing, reading; but I tended to seek out the company of others. Over time, I discovered that, to face these situations, well-being has to come from within myself and shouldn’t depend on other people, because sometimes our friends aren’t available for whatever reason, and family members also can’t be there for you when you need them, since everyone has their own lives and problems to deal with, and you find yourself alone. That’s when you realize that only you have control over your life—in my case, with God’s help. Today, if there is one thing that has helped me cope with stress and any other challenges—including those in my love life—it is my relationship with God. For me, that is my primary source of well-being; the spiritual aspect of my life is my center of tranquility and peace; all my well-being flows from there, and being in places where the beauty of nature is evident connects me much more deeply with my own nature, calms me, and brings me into balance. So when I’m very stressed, I like to go to natural places where I can connect with nature and my Creator, and for this, I don’t need to go with anyone else to feel good. If other people are there, perfect, but if not, that’s perfect too, because one of the main things we all need to learn is how to be comfortable alone with ourselves. Enjoying our solitude from time to time helps us reconnect with ourselves. They say that those who learn to eat alone in a restaurant or go to the movies with no one but themselves have won many battles, and it’s true; that has helped me a lot in dealing with these stressful times, aside from writing, which I haven’t given up. As for love, at this point in life, one asks for only one thing: peace, companionship, and love—yes, but in a calm way. And when any of these aspects change, we simply talk it out, address the issue, and resolve it; we’re no longer up for wallowing in heartbreak—at least that’s how I feel at this stage of my life. What works stays, and what doesn’t—as long as it doesn’t take away my well-being—goes; in my case, it’s that simple. Of course, with God by my side—that’s what matters at all times. ## Esp ¿Cómo has lidiado con tu estrés o desengaño amoroso? Interesante pregunta que llamó mi atención; la vi en esta nueva propuesta en [The Silverbloggers Chronicles - Prompt # 48 How did you deal with stress or heartbreak?](https://peakd.com/hive-106316/@hive-106316/the-silverbloggers-chronicles-prompt-48-how-did-you-deal-with-stress-or-heartbreak). Si me hubieran hecho esta pregunta hace unos cuantos años... mis respuestas hubiesen sido otras, tanto para lidiar con el estrés como para un desengaño amoroso. Anteriormente, era muy afecta a reunirme con amigos y parte de mi familia para pasar esas temporadas en donde el estrés me ganaba y, si era un desengaño, aplicaba la misma técnica: salidas a fiestas, paseos, oír música, escribir, leer; pero me iba más a estar en compañía de otras personas. Con el tiempo descubrí que, para enfrentar estas situaciones, el bienestar tiene que venir de mi propia persona y no debe depender de otras personas, porque en ocasiones nuestros amigos no están disponibles por cualquier causa, los familiares también no pueden estar para ti en el momento que los necesites, pues cada quien tiene sus propias vidas y problemas que solucionar y te ves tú solo. Es allí donde te das cuenta de que solo tú tienes el control de tu vida, en mi caso de la mano de Dios. Hoy día, si hay algo que me ha ayudado a enfrentar el estrés y cualquier otra contingencia, incluyendo la amorosa, es mi relación con Dios. Para mí, esa es mi principal fuente de bienestar; la parte espiritual en mi vida es mi centro de tranquilidad y de paz; de allí emana todo mi bienestar y estar en lugares donde la belleza de la naturaleza se manifieste me conecta mucho más con mi propia naturaleza, me tranquiliza y nivela, así que cuando estoy muy estresada, me gusta ir a lugares naturales donde pueda estar en conexión con ella y mi Creador y para esto no necesito ir con nadie para sentirme bien. Si están otras personas, perfecto, pero si no, también es perfecto, porque una de las principales cosas que debemos aprender todos es aprender a estar bien solos con nosotros mismos. Disfrutar de nuestra soledad en ocasiones, pues nos sirve para reconectar con nosotros mismos. Dicen por ahí que quienes aprenden a comer solos en algún restaurant, ir a un cine sin más compañía que la propia, tienen ganadas muchas batallas y es cierto; eso me ha ayudado mucho a tratar estas épocas de estrés, aparte de la escritura, que no la he abandonado. En cuanto al área del amor, ya a estas alturas uno solo pide una cosa y es paz, compañía, amor sí, pero en calma, y cuando algo de estos aspectos cambia, simplemente se habla, se trata y se soluciona; ya no estamos para andar tanto en desamor, por lo menos es mi pensamiento en esta época de mi vida. Lo que funciona se mantiene y lo que no, que tampoco quite bienestar; en mi caso es así de sencillo, eso sí, con Dios a mi lado, eso es lo importante en todo tiempo. ¡Saludos, amigos!
