Again spent a few days in Switzerland on business. And this time a camera rotation was on my agenda.
In Basel, the office towers of the ROCHE company offered themselves as a photo motif.
Nice looks different, but it's good for rotating, I thought to myself.
The Viewfinder app helped me find the right viewpoint during a short walk after work. Detailed planning then began with the Photopills app. In the evening I placed my tripod on the opposite side of the Rhine from the office towers. You can see a first picture as a test below.
Wiedermal verbrachte dienstlich ein paar Tage in der Schweiz. Und diesmal stand eine Kamerarotation auf meinem Programm. In Basel boten sich die B眉rot眉rme der Firma ROCHE als Fotomotiv an. Sch枚n sieht zwar anders aus, zum Rotieren taugt es aber, dachte ich mir. Die App Viewfinder half mir w盲hrend eines kleinen Spaziergangs nach der Arbeit dabei den richtigen Standpunkt zu finden. Mit der App Photopills begann dann die Detailplanung. Am Abend platzierte ich mein Stativ an der den B眉rot眉rmen gegen眉berliegenden Rheinseite. Ein erstes Bild als Test seht ihr unten.
At sunset I started the first rotation. I rotated the camera 90掳 around its own axis, creating a cross.
Bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit startete ich die erste Rotation. Die Kamera drehte ich jeweils 90掳 um die eigene Achse, so dass ein Kreuz entstand.

I repeated the whole thing with a rotation of 45掳 and thus created a star-shaped structure.
Das ganze wiederholte ich mit einer Rotation von 45掳 und erzeugte damit ein Sternf枚rmiges Gebilde.

Testing
Before I dared to do the photo spot, I set up a test set on the bedside table in my hotel room the day before. A bottle of water, a BOSE Soundlink, a charging cable and a bedside lamp were used. The camera was rotated 45掳 around its own axis during the recording.
Bevor ich mich an den Fotospot wagte, baute ich einen Tag zuvor in meinem Hotelzimmer auf dem Nachttisch ein Testset auf. Dabei kam eine Flasche Wasser, eine BOSE Soundlink, ein Ladekabel und eine Nachttischlampe zum Einsatz. Die Kamera wurde w盲hrend der Aufnahme jeweils 45掳 um die eigene Achse gedreht.
Finally, I would like to show you the rotation tool that was used. In the meantime I have also bought a gimbal for my Canon camera. This then saves the adjustment work for the respective camera. The tool is always immediately ready for use.
The DIY rotation tool used here was modified after the recordings because the original construction did not work reliably. I'll show you both variants. The one shown in the first picture changes the adjustment quickly during use.
Abschlie脽end m枚chte ich euch noch das Rotationstool zeigen, was zum Einsatz kam. Mittlerweile habe ich mir zus盲tzlich noch einen Gimbal f眉r meine Canon-Kamera zugelegt. Das spart dann die Einstellarbeiten f眉r die jeweilige Kamera. Das Tool ist stets sofort einsatzbereit.
Das hier eingesetzte Eigenbau-Rotationstool wurde nach den Aufnahmen modifiziert, weil die Urspr眉ngliche Konstruktion nicht zuverl盲ssig funktionierte. Ich zeige euch beide Varianten. Wobei sich die Einstellung des im ersten Bild gezeigten Tools, w盲hrend des Einsatzes schnell verstellt.
