I count myself immensely fortunate to live in a small town where almost everybody ignores the idea of wearing masks in public places. The few wearing masks are usually elderly or people passing through town who don't know our ways ... lol.

Maybe it's the fresh mountain air here that keeps people level headed and not fully buying into the fear porn on tv.

The craziest thing to me, is now that the death rate from COVID are incredibly lower than they have ever been in the past, the push for masks are increasing. Just in the last week most of the stores here seem to have been forced to ask their employees to wear masks. (Hardly any did before.) However, I love the local rebels like the woman in the Deli section who had her mask pulled below her nose the whole time I shopped there and when she served me. She was technically wearing her mask, but she was going to make sure that she could damn-well breath while she worked!

It's wonderful to live in a place that still maintains some sanity in this insane new world.
