I’ll hear how heavy breaths
weigh down lungs that have been
drowning in 66 weeks of unsaid
apologies.
It will sound like the ghost of you.
The first time I said I love you
to your ultrasound picture is now
a scene filmed upside down
turning black and white
when the doctors say
they can’t hear &
can’t find
a heartbeat.
