My name is Raquel and I'm a military spouse to an active enlisted service member.
I'm currently residing in Oceanside, CA. Prior to moving from Los Angeles County; I had an active literary life editing, performing at features, and hosting poetry events known as "Moon Pixel Open-Mic" at Half Off Books in Whittier, CA. I have a poetry book published called "Born To Electrify" under my maiden name Raquel Reyes-Lopez. My book was published with Sadie Girl Press of Long Beach, CA in December 2014. By technical terms it is considered to be a chapbook and not a full length manuscript.
The poetry chapbook of mine was more of a platform for me to get featured around Los Angeles County literary events. I haven't reached out as deeply as I would have wanted to people with "Born to Electrify". Due to that circumstance I decided to release my top favorite poems I wrote for "Born to Electrify" on steemit for free. All of the poems that will be released are copyrighted by me. Please give credit when credit is due if you decide to use any of them elsewhere. I would appreciate that.
