HOLA GAMERS, in this post I want to talk a little bit about the history of the COVENANT or the PACT of the video game HALO of which I consider myself a faithful follower and this franchise marked a lot my gamer life. (MORE THAN ALL THE FIRST 2 DELIVERIES).
EL COVENANT is an organization made up of several alien species in the world of HALO, led by the PROFETAS or SAN SHYUUM who are not very physically powerful beings but are too intelligent which has allowed them to take the leadership of this alliance of different races.
PROPHETS or JERARCAS
The latter discovered a too advanced technology belonging to a race called forerunners who in times past dominated a large part of the universe. The Elite saw this as a betrayal of their beliefs and had a long battle with the SAN SHYUUM, but later the elites saw a benefit in being able to use this technology and joined the SAN SHYUUM or PROFETAS. The elites would become the main army of the covenant.
ELITES
In the beginning there were only 2 races that made up the covenant but over time this organization would become an immense army full of different alien races, but almost most of these annexed to the COVENANT in a violent way.
HUNTERS
The third race to be integrated to the covenant were the hunter, a species of orange worm that came together and formed a creature of almost 3.50 meters high, challenging and very difficult to control. But the elites managed to win the battle against these creatures and submit them to the orders of the covenant.
YANME`E
The fourth race to be annexed to the covenant were the YANME`S who did not oppose the covenant and were easily recruited into the army.
Later the jackals, the grunts, the brutes would be integrated becoming a powerful army that would have under its dominion a great part of the galaxy.

All these species, followed the same religion (the adoration to the forerunners), and the same objective, to find the 7 rings of Halo and to activate them, in order to reach "The Great Journey", and to become gods (as the forerunners did). None of these species knew the true purpose of these rings, and the serious consequences they would bring when activated.
