I think the other thing ... when the subject of depression is mentioned, the first impulse in the medical community is to give a pill, rather than to get to the root of the problem. I appreciate what science has to offer us, but science is not the be-all, end-all. Even in medical school, they should teach complimentary forms of medicine in addition to the conventional education that doctors get. I despise big pharma, pill popping physicians, and those with no alternative beliefs at all aside from science. That is another big thing that causes some of your aforementioned flags. And in regards to money ... you kidding me? People look at me weird because I'm a college grad. Where do you think I work? I'm a service desk rep for a healthcare organization. Happy? Yes. Rich? No. Do I care? No.
