Controlling how people use their vote is futile although providing the information as to why it may not be in the platform's best interest was always the intention of the post, people can read in to that how they like.
I mentioned at the end of the post that I hope it would raise discussion and bring up different viewpoints so I appreciate the comment and how you've shared your opinion.
There is more than enough distribution to new accounts.
Based on what? I'm not good with numbers so I struggle to figure out the impacts that smaller percentages will have over time, but I understand compound interest somewhat and I believe you do also because it's in your accounts tagline. "growing crypto holdings through compounding interest"
You could also say it isnt fair how some people get large pob rewards just based on autovoting but it happens.
In terms of fairness, I believe scrutiny is always needed for those who are receiving autovotes and if people don't find the autovotes fair then they should raise their opinion about it. There is a difference between someone independently voting on a burn post and receiving curation rewards while limiting distribution, and someone receiving an autovote from another without any say in the matter. They fall under the same topic of distribution but they are weak comparisons.
You could also say that people who promote thier posts are removing distribution, that pob used to promote could be powered up and used to vote and distribute but it isn't.
The difference between burning via promoting posts and voting to burn is the curation reward aspect of it. I should have made my points about the voting more clear.
Plenty of people are in favor of the burn posts as the votes suggest.
I agree, and that is why I brought up some points about why I thought the act of voting on them to raise the value of the token was paradoxical.
Also what if you dont see content you feel is worth your upvote 10 times a day?
This is a subjective point and I don't think it holds up in the argument because we can't claim to know what people place value in and we can't be on a warpath saying something is worth 100% and something else isn't. We can only assess this on an individual basis and take it into consideration that way.
Speaking of, you upvoted this comment with quite the hefty upvote and I'm not saying that "you cant do this, or you cant vote on that", but I can notice it and consider how your argument has a flaw.
