If I was to ask a friend to join at this moment, I'd just say to make an account and use the proofofbrain front-end since it's in its infancy and there is still plenty of information here for someone to idly pick up the basic goings-on of the blockchain. So many people have a Google account which they then use to get an account somewhere else, I'd just say HIVE is like that, then the tribe is the second account.
I think that's the beauty of proof of brain at work for each individual to decide where to show their appreciation or disapproval. The concept itself is solid and it's battle-tested, just the nature of the average human isn't always understandable. It's up to the members of the community to shed light on some things, otherwise, it'll just become another proof of brain platform with a select few giving reach arounds in a circle and a crowd of insincere grovellers being ignored.
If you believe something shouldn't be rewarded, use your voice that you have on the platform and make some waves. It's only going to be from community discussion and taking chances that we'll see the success people are somewhat blindly hoping for.
Oh and yes, the divider is available for whoever, just made it quickly when I first joined lol.
