It's quite amazing how far this run has pushed forward the media narrative. My flatmate randomly turned around to me the other day saying that he's going to start mining Bitcoin, which I could only answer with 'Do you have the money to start?'

I didn't delve too deep into the 'whys' and 'how comes' but just mentioned that there are much better avenues to explore if he's wanting to get involved with the space. It definitely takes a little bit of a curiosity and some very basic tech knowledge to get going but once you get hooked it's just about gradually adjusting your lifestyle. Needless to say, he wasn't interested in learning more, just wanted the quickest solution for more money.
