One of the most beautiful islands of Cyclades Greece.
As you approach the port and the air mess up your hair (if you have) the white windmills at Parikia welcomes you. I fall in love with Paros and Antiparos instantly. It was love at first sight.
The first time I traveled alone.
A pair of flipflops (not havaianas) two swimsuits (both of them bikinis) four simple dresses (no need to explain) one hat (a big one sombrero ai ai ai arriba muchachos) a book (Plato not Prozac) and of course my little dog Ioli. Simple fast but not furious. That's all you need for a few days in a Greek island. The other times I've been carried away from my friends and took many things that never been used (at least my clothes traveled and don't keep me hard feelings). So I've made a pact with my suitcase and wherever I go I drag it no matter how many things I keep inside it.
But Let me continue about Paros cause my suitcases stares me with excitement for the next destination and I have to tell you some tips before I organize my next trip.
At Paros you must swim in the crystal clear waters, eat fresh fish and taste the local drink suma. Be careful with that becouse its strong enough. You should watch the kite surfers and be in a local festival with the traditional mucicians and dancers. Try to take the little boat and pass accros to Antiparos for at least one night. It's similar with Paros but in a small version.
Thats my tips and remember no matter what… even if you arrange your hollidays many days before and for example its raining don't worry, at least you can rest. Keep on smiling no matter what!
