[#41383] I love my stepson with all my heart. I raised him since he was three, taught him to read, write, tie his shoes, I taught him to fight and to stand up for himself and others. He works so effing hard at everything he does, I'm in awe of his focus and drive.He's ten now, and I've been separated from his mother for three years. She had an affair one year after we got engaged and had our baby girl. With a man child 12 years younger than her. Her son is a big part of my daughter's and my life, most people I know say I should cut him loose if I am ever want to get into a relationship again. I tried dating and "most people" have proven to be right.I feel guilty for even considering cutting ties. It hurts to even write this, I don't want to be lonely, but he needs a healthy upbringing... and he won't get that from his mother.
