Welcome to my spiral garden. It lays just outside the kitchen door, along the walkway to the garage. Jona & I built this spiral around a pre-existing ginkgo tree three or four years ago.
Originally, this space was dedicated to growing calendula flowers. And now, there is only one calendula plant growing here.
I hope to change that and planted calendula, among other flowers, in the bare ground between the other plants
The concept of a spiral garden is to grow a bit of all kinds of herbs. So, alongside the OG herbs of ginkgo and calendula I have transplanted a few herbal allies such as:
Aloe Vera which I use daily in my skin care regime.
and...
Thyme an herb that I use often as condiment in food and am just getting to know as a medicinal herb.
Soon I will be transplanting mint and oregano. And sometime in winter/early spring there will be poppy flowers too.
