If you can find a plant I would go with that. I had a hard time growing from seed in the past, the one in my front yard was a volunteer but I also had sown a few dozen seeds and none of them came up. I think it is one of those plants that does best when it drops its own seeds. The flowers are so pretty that it is a nice addition to the herb garden too!
