When I first got Ms. Clarity, I didn't know quite what I was in for. Smart, sassy and full of attitude, this little ahem big girl has grown up here on my farm. She is just the funniest character, and you can tell she is always thinking of ways to beat the system. Willow and Clarity are firmly bonded and quite often act like sisters, despite not being related. That means they argue and fuss, but in the end, need each other.
With Ms. Clarity's first freshening last year, she had quadruplets, with 2 boys and 2 girls, one being still born. This is not a common occurrence, normally they kid twins, sometimes solos and occasionally triplets. Ms. Clarity, while being an attentive and very very good mom, did NOT enjoy the experience. Triplets, when you only have 2 boobs, makes life NOT fun. So this year, I determined, if she kidded more than twins, I would sell the excess babies as bottle babies. We went on to sell Beast as a bottle baby wether, where he went to a very good home, that raised him inside for the first few weeks of his life.
Now I decided to keep Belle and Beauty, to let mommy raise them, and she has done a bang up job. Clarity is MUCH happier with being a mommy this year, with only the 2 girls to take care of, and has settled down quite a bit. I am
While we enjoy Belle and Beauty, they have had a deposit put on them, and should be going home in the next couple of weeks!! I am so thankful they get to go together to their new home, as they are quite bonded and would be very sad without one another.
