Google has announced a plan that is broken up into 3 main phases and will be implemented in the next 14 months.
The first phase
When Google Chrom 66 is released in the spring of 2018 the new Chrome 66 will alert users about third party softwares that they are using when they crash that they are using software that is injecting code into their Chrome, the new alert will prompt users to remove or update their software.
Second phase
In the summer of 2018 Google Chrome will release Chrome 68, this new release will begin to block third party software from injections into Chrome. If the injection is successful and goes through and crashses Chrome, Google Chrome will bott back up and alert the user that there was a succesful injection and that the user will need to remove their software or update.
The third phase
By the begninning of 2019 the new Google Chrome 72 will not have this alert set into place; the new Chrome 72 will automatically remove block code injections.
Reading some online forums there are conversations that point to Google Chrome in windows whos users will have browsers that will be affected. They claim that about 2/3 of windows users will be affected. If you experience a lot of crashes you could be the 15% of users who will be affected. so pay attention and keep on eye on your browsers.
