This is my first time participating in juliank@juliank's #vehiclephotography day.

I am generally not a vehicle person. I don't get the general public's fascination with cars. Fast cars, pretty cars, loud cars, low cars? Trucks are even worse. Eugh. Motorcycles? Why? Boats. Meh. Golf carts... well ok I like golf carts. They're stealthy.

I have always loved planes though. There's something about their massive size and presence... and yet they fly. To me they're just... impressive! I don't know if I would have had the guts to get into flying if I had better eyesight, but I like to pretend I would have.

So when I was in photography school, one of my favourite places to wander around was the Air Museum located next to CFB Comox. I took this photo one day when I was there with my class. I don't remember what the assignment was. I just remember being super stoked because I was using my off-camera flashes for the first time. One on each engine. I wanted to shoot the plane a little differently, and make it look big and strong. Pretty sure I removed some little trees from the background and touched up the plane a bit. I was still pretty new a Photoshop and photoraphy in general so I'm surprised I'm not spotting any glaring mistakes right now.

One of my fellow students was retired RCAF. He told me that this particular plane was called a Canuck. I don't remember exactly which model name this plane had. Maybe a CF-100? Perhaps?

Anyway, I hope you enjoy my random plane photo :)
