This was a weird experiment in shooting up-close. It's not true 1:1 macro but it's close enough. This was a long exposure in the dark, lit by a little handheld flashlight. I'm one of those people who struggles with shooting things that are just there. Nature, landscapes, flowers, etc. I feel like it's too easy to simply record what's there. Now, I know nature/landscape/macro photography is much more difficult than that. I KNOW! However, in order to keep my attention, I gotta manipulate it. I JUST GOTTA!
Long exposures have been a great way for me to do that. They can make a landscape look alien, water look like silk, and in this case, a flower photo look like a glamour portrait.
