WHAT IS THE BEST MONEY-SAVING TIP?
Hello #SciFimultiverse, I trust your day is going well. Happy midweek. There is a quote that says” Little drops of water make an ocean. So, when discussing the best money-saving tips. they might not be rocket science or difficult to do. But little habits we can build and nurture.
That being said, from my point of view, the best money-saving tip that has worked for me and has kept me going for years is removing and saving a specific portion of my income every time I earn money. This is because I tried saving after spending, and it didn’t work out. I also tried saving between expenses, and it failed.
Once bitten, twice shy: since those options didn't work, I restrategised and started saving a specific sum as soon as I earn; it worked and has continued to work for me.
Another thing I added to that tip is having a budget; though some people do not follow their budget strictly, in my case, I had to differentiate between my needs and wants. I focus on my needs, prioritise them in order of preference, and then push the wants to the next month.
However, sometimes, impulse purchases, lack of financial control capabilities, and pressure on the small amount earned try to defy the goal and purpose, but where there is a will, there is a way. Learning to adapt to a streamlined budget and consistently saving no matter how small will change the narrative and make us prudent keepers of funds and great financial managers.
Finally, if I could advise someone on the best money-saving tip, it would be to consistently save a percentage of any income. Not to spend because the individual is making money. No, save for the rainy day and invest the savings.
Let me close with this quote: “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of hands to sleep” so shall thy poverty come as one that travel and thy want as an armed man”. Therefore, let us be wise, intentional about our future, and consistently save no matter the amount.
