THE POWER OF GRATITUDE
Hello #scifimultiverse family, I trust you are doing great. Welcome to my blog.
A popular proverb says that a heart of gratitude attracts God’s blessing. Yes, for me, gratitude is not only about saying thank you but making it a way of life. A personal culture. Little wonder there is a saying that when a child says thank you for yesterday’s gift, the child will receive another tomorrow.
Gratitude is appreciating my little wins, learning from my mistakes, and forging ahead with confidence and resilience till my goals and objectives are met.
Having said that, the three things I am most grateful for in my life are: first, the gift of breath of life, and good health. Sometimes, I imagine what happens when I am asleep and not dreaming: how do I wake up, and what is the rationale for my waking up every day? Then I realise it is just the mercies of God to which I always kneel beside my bed to show gratitude to the one who made it possible. Health is wealth; it takes just a fever or a boil to understand the grace of being hale and hearty.
Second is the support and love I get from my family, friends, and relations. I can’t push this far without their unalloyed support and overwhelming care and checks. They rejoice with me in my wins and also cry with me. They encourage and assist me emotionally, spiritually, financially, and otherwise. It has been a journey of learning, unlearning, and consistent improvement and growing together.
Third on the list is my career pursuit; the gratitude of being with like-minded people, the growth and development within my circle of friends have been top-notch for me. Brainstorming, proffering solutions, and resolving challenges through constant dynamic training, transformation, and repositioning. Getting each other's back and providing information that empowers me to keep evolving in this technology age. I am super grateful for the journey so far, though I am still a work in progress.
Practicing gratitude everyday is a reminder that no man is an Island, some one some where helped out at some point solending a helping hand, appreciating other’s support and being kind would improve our relationship with others and refine our attitude, Again, respecting others boundaries, respect, empathy and being contented with ourselves will be evident if we appreciate and are contented with ourselves rather than comparing and complaining about life.
That way, we would not only make an impact on others but would also inspire others by becoming the book they read through our attitudes and the relationships we have built by making gratitude our culture.
