Hello!
My name is Jason. I work for Americold Logistics. Not a super flashy job..but its a nice change for me. I spent way too many years of my youth wasting away in retail, and am finally moving in the direction of getting my life in order. 37 isn't too old for that right?
I decided to join Steemit after listing to one of my favorite radio hosts on Coast to Coast radio talk about it. I've always loved writing, but never really decided on a venue to express my thoughts or (if I'm really feeling optimistic) my short stories and writings for all the world to see. Creative expression is one of the greatest ways to have a lasting impact long after our short trip on this blue ball comes to an end. I've also developed an interest in cryptocurrency, and I believe that if the word block chain isn't mainstream now, it will be in the near future.
Some little tidbits about me: I am very much a Sci-Fi buff, probably as a consequence of being raised with an older sister who demanded that I watch the original Star Trek series for bedtime stories. I suppose the one introductory embarrassing truth about me that I can throw out there is that I still fall asleep with Star Trek on. But my nerdy chops don't stop there, I love fantasy lore, gaming, and modeling. BUILDING models! What did you think I meant? :)
I'm also (successfully) going through the physical transformation of losing weight, a lot of weight. Its one of those things that creeps up on you if you aren't paying attention, and then one day, boom. I love spirited and intelligent conversations and debates on virtually any topic.
I look forward to creating hopefully thoughtful and entertaining content for the community to enjoy, and to taking in all that YOU the people on here create as well.
