Hello, dear Black and White community!

Not long ago, I started a new challenge in my life: studying studio photography. I’m learning how to use continuous light, flashes, and lighting setups. I’ve always loved portraits and wanted to dive deeper into this photographic style. I recently got a 50mm lens with a beautiful bokeh, and even though I’m not an expert yet, I know there’s still a lot to improve. Step by step, but steady.

In these photos, I used both continuous light and studio flash. I still struggle a bit with the flash, but little by little, I’ll get the hang of it. Studying not only gives me new knowledge, but also surrounds me with people who are passionate about the same things as I am. Being around people like that helps you grow artistically, just like being part of this community does.

Here’s a bit of what I learned in the last class. I hope you enjoy it, and let’s keep evolving.

Hace poco empecé un nuevo reto en mi vida: estudiar fotografía de estudio, manejar luz continua, flashes, esquemas de iluminación... Siempre me gustaron los retratos y quería aprender más sobre este estilo fotográfico. Adquirí un lente 50mm con un bokeh hermoso, siempre tratando de crecer con lo que me apasiona. Aún no soy un experto, sé que falta mucho por mejorar, pero vamos lento, pero seguros.

En estas fotos utilicé luz continua y flash de estudio. Aún se me complica usar el flash, pero poco a poco lo dominaré. Estudiar no solo me deja adquirir nuevos conocimientos, sino que también me rodea de gente que también le apasiona lo mismo que a mí. Y rodearte de personas así también te hace crecer artísticamente, como también lo es participar en esta comunidad.
