My last good stem on one of our basil plants. Some new growth happening but don't think I can do anything to rejuvenate the rest of the plant. The base of the plant is stuffed with old stems so I don't think we will get any new growth from there. Makes me sad to see this plant coming to an end. So many memories and so much basil.
Meanwhile my other basil is going quite strong. I actually cut back a little extra last harvest to help keep the plant more manageable. I don't feel like I did much different between the two plants so very strange to see them in such different circumstances. Plants are weird. I don't have much of a green thumb so hard for me to diagnose what's happening to these plants. I feel like I've gotten a bit more competent since I started this blog but there are still many things that just baffle me. I guess I need to grow a bit more along side my garden.
