Oh the good old days of video cassette - Cannonball Run was a favourite of mine back then - still today actually. I've still got a whole bunch of of video's stashed - god know's why because I don't have the players anymore!
But life moves on, DVD's became I thing and I had 100's at one point but then Netflix and Amazon Prime Video popped up and you really didn't need a physical thing at all - it all became on demand.
As for what you watch, for sure most big Movies suspend disbelief - as in what happens could not really happen in the real world - but part of that movie fun is the make believe world they create.
There are plenty of documentaries for real world experience, but I don't have a problem watching what is totally unrealistic CGI enhanced action be it Marvel Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Star Wars etc - it's just an opportunity to escape a mundane existence for an hour or so and enjoy something I will never get to experience.
