The Curation Collective, AKA C² / @c-squared, is a community intended for curators
on the Steem blockchain. Curators share curated links in the C² Discord server; C² voters review submitted posts for spam/plagiarism then upvote & resteem on the @c-squared community account. C² also runs weekly contests to promote engagement in the comments of upvoted posting.
C² is already one of the largest (in terms of number of curators and number of posts curated) and most diverse manual curation efforts on the STEEM blockchain, with easily scalable systems in place for post submission, review and upvote. Help us grow and support real human posting on STEEM blockchain!

In the four weeks that C² has been in existence, the @c-squared account has already upvoted over 2000 posts, with over 1300 unique authors supported.
@c-squared upvotes 80-90 posts on a typical day, with an average vote weight of ~ 12% (see last two weeks of daily upvote data, right). With current value of the @c-squared vote and trail, C² tries not to go below 10% average vote weight.
Curie direct follow curator @carlgnash reviews the posts upvoted by the @c-squared account and awards a "small" @curie vote to the best posts (~$3 - $10 upvotes). Try your hand at picking out the best posting resteemed by @C-Squared and upvoting with a higher % yourself to maximize your curation rewards!
To date 307 small Curie votes cast on posting upvoted by @c-squared equals around 15% of the total posts curated through C².
C² Engagement Contests update
In support of C²'s mission to promote engagement in comments on the STEEM blockchain, the C² Discord community runs two weekly contests:
#comments-contest pays STEEM to the C² server members who leave the most (non-spam) comments on posts upvoted by @c-squared
#engagement-contest pays STEEM to the C² server members who place the highest in @abh12345's League of Engagement weekly contest.
As C² grows, these contests are really generating a lot of engagement! The competition is picking up and driving the comment counts up each week. This past week @anouk.nox was the C² comment champion, leaving 154 real comments on posts upvoted by @c-squared!
Any curation group or individual curator authoring curation compilations (posting featuring curated authors/posts) is welcome to bring curation compilation posts to the #curation-compilations channel in the C² Discord.
The @c-squared community account will upvote and resteem both the curation compilation post, and all featured posting that is still in payout.
C² currently supports Dutch, Filipino, Indonesian, Spanish & Turkish language posting with dedicated channels. The Spanish language curation has grown into its own entity, @la-colmena. C² is still the Discord home for La Colmena, check out the @la-colmena intro post to learn more!
All non-English posting upvoted / resteemed by C² has been reviewed by multiple curators who speak the language
If you are interested in starting a new language specific channel, the minimum requirement is an active community of posters and at least three curators who speak the language, have been actively participating in C² and are interested in using the new channel.
