The yellow emperor Mausoleum is known as the world's first mausoleum. Located in Beiqiaoshan, Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shanxi Province, it is the tomb of Xuanyuan Emperor, the ancestor of the Chinese nation. Also known as the "First Mausoleum of China". It is the first batch of cultural relics protected by the state and the civilized symbol of the Chinese nation.
黄帝陵号称“天下第一陵”，是中华民族始祖轩辕黄帝的陵寝。又称“华夏第一陵”。 位于陕西延安市黄陵县城北桥山。
黄帝联合炎帝打败蚩尤后，由部落联盟首领成为天下共主，使华夏民族由蛮荒时代跨入了文明时代，黄帝的丰功伟绩理所当然地受到后世的敬仰和崇拜。
黄帝死后，人们为了表达对这位人文初祖的怀念之情，便在桥山起冢为陵，立庙祭祀。在黄帝死后的几千年里，历代祭祀黄帝的活动从未中断。
从虞、夏、商、周到秦、汉、隋、唐、宋、元、明、清，除了有的时段将黄帝同时作为“天神”、“帝王”祭祀外，都无一例外地将黄帝作为祖先祭祀。
