For the 3rd straight day, Ripple has outshined all of the major coins out there. Ripple exploded today with a 70 percent gain reaching over $2.50 on CoinMarketCap. This was expected by many considering the deal that was just inked with the Japanese credit card companies and due to the fact that Bitcoin has been dying over the last few days.
A lot of Ripple's gains seemed to start with South Korea and then the rest of the exchanges followed suit.
Bitcoin continued it's downward trend to the $13,500 range, losing about 10 percent with another horrible day. It seems like many people were dumping their Bitcoin to hop in on the Ripple boost.
Cardano and Stellar both had big upswings today as well gaining about 17 and 35 percent, respectively.
Ethereum, Litecoin, IOTA, Dash, EOS, NEO, Lisk, Tron, Verge, Icon and Monero all had down days today. Most likely getting dumped by people jumping on board Ripple.
It seemed early in the day that all of the major cryptos were going to have a great day, but that quickly shifted.
Bitshares, Skycoin, and WAX token were the only other coins in the top 40 to have substantial gains on the day.
