I was checking on my dCity this morning and noticed that DEC was now being tracked as one of the currencies on the game. I had never noticed this before and I soon realized why, a new event has been added to dCity called Splinterfest!
I really like seeing new things being constantly added to dCity, we had the mysterious ENTRY tokens start appearing last week (which you get for holding Stadiums) and now today we see the next layer in the ENRTY mystery with the new Splinterfest event. It's really cool seeing the two best games on Hive now having a connection.
So what does starting a Splinterfest do? Well first off you get a 5% boost in ENRTY production for 24 hours, I personally have 95 Stadium's so that's a nice little bonus for my city (now I just need to figure out what ENTRY is going to be used for, maybe Splinterlands tournaments?). Next you are given a 18% chance to earn a Gamer Card every two hours. I'm not totally sure what this means but as soon as I get one from my event, I will let you know. Lastly you get a 2% chance to earn a Azmare Dice pack every 2 hours, the newest mini card expansion in Splinterlands.
This is a very cool addition for both Splinterlands and dCity, that could help expose both games to a new player base. I'm really hopeful that I land a new DICE pack on my first event!
