#monomad today features photographs from a session where I tried creating the Diana Ross effect, it is one of the most populous photo of Diana Ross,.
In this photo concept, we used hard light from the top, I used an umbrella modifier so the strobe light would strike the umbrella.
I had to setup my subject right under the light to get a fine fall off from the light.
She was not quite the model type so the light just falls on her beautiful face unlike the other models that have amazing skin contours. But funny enough she sings well, she loves it and so why not
It was hard light all through, just that single light setup.
Post processing was carried out in Photoshop as I was able to blend in some very dark shadows and all.
I used my Canon EOS5D Mark II to create this shoot and a 50mm with a single overhead and hard light.
