A just and wise leader will only side with the truth and he is always proportional, does not distinguish people based on their descendants, ethnicities and groups. The function of a leader who bases on understanding the democratic leadership of Indonesia is one that is capable of being fair and not embodying an interest above other interests.
The impact of a leader's decision will have enormous implications for the people he leads. If the decision is right, the good will be evenly distributed to the people, but if it is wrong, the people will suffer the consequences. Therefore, a good leader is called by the Prophet as a just leader (imamun 'adilun) while a bad leader is described by the Koran, and also the hadith, as a tyrannical leader. Fair means to place something in its place, whereas the opposite means wrong means to put something out of place.
Bukhari's Hadith puts a fair leader in the first order of the seven main human groups. The Muslim History Hadith mentions that the best leader is the leader who is loved by his people and he loves his people. While the worst leader according to the Prophet, was a leader who was hated by his people and he hated his people, they cursed each other. Other hadiths say that two of the five groups wrathed by God are (1) rulers (amir) whose lives are supported by the people (now-tax), but it does not benefit the people, and cannot even protect the security of its people. (2) The group leader (za'im) adhered to by his followers but he discriminated against the strong group over the weak, and spoke at will (did not listen to the aspirations of his followers). Hadith History Dailami even mentions arbitrary leaders (imam jair) as endangering religion.
The story of the Qur'an which mentions the Prophet (King) Sulaiman who observes the voice of the ant contains a lesson that no matter how someone becomes a great leader of a great country, but he must not forget the small people who are ants. (Q / 27: 16).
Exemplifying the leadership of the Prophet, the main character that a leader must possess is a good example (uswah hasanah), especially in his personal life, such as; living clean, simple and prioritizing others. Regarding how high the value of leader justice, Tabrani's historical Hadith mentions that one effective day is from a person
a just priest equals seventy years of worship.
