Mountain view cemetary, which is still in operation is a 226 Acre plot of land that was established in 1863.
Many wealthy people were buried there, and they celebrated their deaths with elaborate displays, which turned this place of rest into a tourist place complete with guided tours. However, we have learned, that even rich corpses, and docents can't stop graffiti in Oakland.
This first picture was taken at one of the three spring fed resorvoirs. The water seen in this picture is Spring water running through Oakland.

Sometimes it takes spending a day with dead people to remember that you are still alive.
