For non-programmers, creating a website is a difficult task. Good thing that there are content management systems like Joomla which makes webpage development a much more pleasant experience. I attended a Drupal camp (another CMS) not long ago and was pleasantly surprised to learn that not all attendees are developers. There were some who do not know how to code but were very eager to learn. Hearing about their difficulties, the majority of them shared that a major deterrent in their learning are hard English terms. This is what motivated me to translate Joomla to Filipino. Joomla is very popular here in Cebu, Philippines. And because we all understand Filipino here, it is more preferred to translate it to Filipino than Cebuano or Bisaya.
