The long awaited day finally came.It was scheduled to go visit the Atlantic ocean in Akwa ibom on the beach called ibeno beach.It was 28th April 2024 i was all ready and set to go visit the ocean.
Not long after getting all dressed i had to wait for the bus to take us along to our destination.
I waited patiently as the wait time became ever shorter.
Finally we left on the bus and was on our way.
10 minutes into the drive their was not much on the road side just plain old thrieving vegetations
It was a 2 hours drive from where i stayed.As each kilomater that passes brings us closer to out destination.
Akwa ibom state at last the had so many beautiful roads including many still under construction.
It leads all the back to the capital city of Akwa ibom Uyo
In other to get to our destination we went pass alot of bridges a whole lot of them i think i counted 12
I was able to get 2 images of different bridges.
This was the first one which was still under construction
Getting to the bridge below it i saw boats canoe to be precise
The second bridge even had more water than the first one and noticed a motored canoe on the move.
After riding for so long i started to wonder if we would get there soon so i hoped into my google maps and check how far i am from my destination which was 1.2 kilometres
It wasnt much far again after about 18 to 20 minutes we finally got there and i was so excited i met up with my Friend and we went to get a cleaer view of the ocean
And the beautiful shorelines were finally in sight 😍
Was all happy and geared up to dive into the ocean
Took a quick picture and video and rushed back in.
After swimming for hours in was night time and the tides and waves became stronger and was pulling swimmer back in guessed it was time to leave.
Left the water and i was met with a cloud a bright one it was really nice and wholesome to watch.
Their was a night party going on and bar and eatery places all over the beach sold drinks and food to the visitors and the locals present.
I joined the party with my friends what i enjoyed most that night was the fish barbecue i had it was delicious 😋
Spent the whole night up to 12 am it was alot of fun till the next day i was filled with fatigue from swimming and parting all night,took me some days to recover but i felt better in no time.
The next day i went back to my intial destination and thats was how it ended
