Hello Fellow Travellers!!!!
I really love the beach cause it is somewhere i can be really free and with the ocean and nature around.I travelled to Ibeno Beach at Kwa Ibo in Akwa Ibom State,Uyo Nigeria.
Lets talk alittle bit about ibeno beach
It is the longest sand beach in West Africa Qua Iboe River estuary is the major estuary in Ibeno Beach. Ibeno Beach stretches for about 30 kilometres from Ibeno to James Town.The water has high salinity (salt water).The beach few years back was not highly populated with local fisher men, refinery workers in the blue and the locals who live there.
Started the journey on a sunday morning with my friends and family.It was a 2 hours journey from Abia state where i live to Akwa Ibom state so we had to leave early.
As we left Abia state and followd the main expressway leading to our destination,the road was constructed by their present governor and it looks beautiful
The long stretch of road is over 10 kilometres long leading to Uyo and other places.
As we continued on our journey on getting close saw these swamp by the road it looks really calm and undoubtedly their would be numerous wild life their merely looking at it.
Not so long we came across this river with vegetations on bothsides of it,the say is connected to the ibeno beach.
After few hours of travelling we got to our destination and on arrival i spotted a helicopter and our travel guide said it was transporting refinery workers to the refinery
We parked our vehicle and ate lunch before heading out into the ocean where we spent most of our time at swimming and having fun.We played games like running in the ocean,holding our breaths underwater to find out who can last longer underwater and many more.

After the lovely coconut juice i headed back into the ocean for a swim.Swimming was what i really enjoyed in the trip.
Not long i came out again for a horse ride.The stallion was a good boy and a beautiful one too but wasn't properly taken care of and smelled alittle bit but was ok to ride on and fun too
It was getting late and their was increase in tides but i still went back to swim anyway spending my late moments there before leaving.
I swam for some time and the wheather was getting cold so i had to leave the water and say good bye to it cause i wasn't gonna see it again for a while.
Later that evening i spent time on the beach environment which hard numerous food and things to try.
I tried the barbeque fish which tasted amazing
And went of to also get some local beaf barbeque too and made two new friends too
Right after that went to get icecream and i got alot of them which led to a brain freeze馃ザ
After all that i sat down enjoy the cold breeze and chatting with friends,it was a really refreshing experience
And that was the end of that day.We now moved to where we would spend the night.The next morning we got up very early at 4am and started our journey back to Abia State.
And thats how it ended
