  • Hello everyone. How are you all? Welcome to my blog.

After safely sending all the children home, Bayak returned to his friend Menehet. He found Menehet talking with a merchant from the market. The man appeared deeply worried. He was complaining that counterfeit ancient artifacts were being sold in the Yamu market. Imitation mummy amulets, fake religious items, and various other such products had flooded the market. Tourists visiting from far and wide were being deceived into buying them, and this was reducing the reputation of the entire Yamu market.

Menehet became deeply concerned upon hearing this. He had hoped that this religious festival would attract more tourists to Yamu. However, if everyone returned home with a bad experience after buying counterfeit goods, no one would ever visit again. So, he turned to Bayek for help, stating that the mystery of these fake products had to be solved and the people behind them uncovered.

Bayek headed towards the Yamu market without delay. After arriving, he began speaking with various merchants one by one. When he asked the first merchant a question, the man became angry. He said, "If you don't intend to buy anything, don't waste my time. Go somewhere else." The man's behavior struck Bayek as quite suspicious.

Then Bayak went to another merchant. He did not show anger like the previous man. Instead, he said calmly, "It is best to stay away from this matter. Very powerful people are involved in it. If you pry too much, you will only bring trouble upon yourself."

Bayek did not give up. He wandered through the market in search of more information. He spotted an old man pacing about restlessly. Bayek approached him and asked what was wrong. The old man explained that he had lost his Book of the Dead. With the help of that magical book, he believed he could communicate with his deceased wife once more. Bayek asked where the book had been lost, and the old man replied that it was somewhere out in the northern desert.

Just then, the old man's daughter arrived. As she led her father away, she told Bayek that most of what the old man was saying wasn't true. Nevertheless, Bayek took note of it, as it unlocked a new side quest.

While walking through the market, Bayek reached the last merchant. At first, he too was reluctant to speak. But when Bayek firmly declared that he would solve this mystery at any cost, the man became somewhat frightened. He said quietly, "Come to the farmland of Yamu village after dusk. I will reveal everything there."

Bayek wasted no time. He mounted his horse and set off for Yamu's farmland. The place was not far, only about 400 meters away. He saw a few harmless farmers busy with their work. The surroundings were still peaceful. Since the merchant had asked to meet after dusk, Bayek decided to wait there. He would finally get his hands on the first real clue to this mystery.

  • See you all in the next mission. Goodbye.
