I try to account for unexpected expenses, but sometimes life throws you more curveballs than you were expecting. I recently had to buy a new lawnmower after the old one finally died. I checked my tire treads on my car yesterday and realized those are better off being replaced than trying to handle another winter with them.
It happens, but fortunately the price of silver is still strong. Before the increase I would've likely needed to sell around 16 ounces of silver to pay for new tires.
These days I only need to sell about 7.5 ounces to cover everything. Now that's a silver lining if I ever heard one!
Remember to keep stacking, and remember why you stack. A meager $500 in savings back then would be over $1000 today if that were put into silver instead. Then again, hindsight is 20/20.
