I understand the need to minimize the cost of packaging in order to maximize profit. At what point does doing that make the packaging pretty much unusable to the consumer?
I bought some peppermint bark at Costo a couple of weeks ago. I cracked it open. It had a pull tab that then removed a section of plastic lining the entire outer edge. The only problem is that to close it you have to hold the lid down and squeeze the lip between your index finger and thumb to reseal it, and rotate it as you go.
That's great and all, but it's time-consuming and obnoxious. So, into a Ziploc bag they go! Simple and cost-effective, unlike the garbage this product designer came up with.
Now my peppermint bark is easily accessible and easy to put away!
