I hate when items don't arrive in the condition they're advertised when you purchase them. I recently picked up a Groudon Pokémon card for $5 to go along with my Kyogre card I have.
It was described as being in Near Mint condition. Everything looked good from the front. There were some trace dirt spots but I was able to easily clean them off. I looked at the back and it wasn't too bad, but then I noticed a small 1/4" strip on the right back edge that was bubbled up. That's considered "Damaged." For $5 it's not worth the hassle of returning. Since I've been working on honing my restoration skills, I worked on it and got it fixed.
If you can't tell where it used to be, this was the area that was bubbled up.
It's not entirely perfect, but modern restoration techniques can only go so far. Even then, it's not bad compared to a bubbled edge. For me, it was something fixable, but for someone else it wouldn't be, and not accurately describing an item's condition is unacceptable. I debated on three stars, but ended up giving them a two star review.
