I recently rekindled an interest in collecting Pokémon cards. It's arguably the worst time to get back into it, but what can you do? My kids have taken an interest as well, so collecting with them is extra fun.
My youngest son's daycare scored major brownie points with me recently. One of his teachers has heard him talk about his Pokémon cards. I had heard she had them make a Pokémon-themed craft, but when I saw what he brought home I was impressed.
She had gone online and found cards with blank portrait boxes so the kids could draw their own Pokémon. Unlike most little kid's crafts this one will actually last because she laminated it once they were done.
It's moments like these that really make you stop and think about what matters in life. My son had so much fun making this and was so proud of himself, and we told him he did an awesome job. The big smile on his face was priceless, and so is the keepsake behind the memory.
