There is something comforting about places that don't try too hard to impress. Waduk Setu in Cipayung is one of those places. Waduk is the Indonesian word for reservoir. The water moves quietly, people go about their day, and for a little while everything feels slower.
Around the reservoir, you'll see people exercising, chatting with friends, having a picnic, fishing by the water, or simply enjoying the fresh air. Nothing extraordinary is happening, and that's exactly what makes it special.
In this video, I invite you to walk with me around the reservoir and enjoy the simpleness of an ordinary afternoon. No big attraction, no rush. Just a chance to look around and enjoy the surroundings before night falls.
Along the way, I stopped for a few minutes to capture some shots of the yellow bamboo growing around the lake. Their tall stalks stood out against the landscape and added a nice splash of color to the walk.
