Rising Star Report #2: Level 47 Progress, 50K STARBITS & The Daily Grind

Lights up, everyone! Time for another Rising Star update from your girl @bulkovam. Let's update you on our STARBITS progression.

Since the last time I checked in with the community, I've been logging in daily to mainly complete the Midweek Headline Slot. Due to a lack of fans, the band can only do Saturday Support after befriending at least 20 drunks.

I said I've been logging in every day, but I did miss a couple of days when there were some internet troubles.

While there haven't been any major breakthroughs yet, the data tells a relatively interesting story.

Resource Growth 🍻☕🍕

The biggest winner between October 1 and October 10 wasn't me, wasn't the fanbase, or our STARBITS balance. It was the drunks. While pizzas and coffee cups saw modest growth, the drunks have clearly been working overtime...

As we can see. The number of Discarded Pizzas being discovered continues to grow steadily. Coffee is also trending upward. Although there were days when I found no pizza, no coffee, and no drunks.

But drunks have increased the most during this time period. At least I think they have. We have a chart, and charts are scientific, so I'm going to trust that it has.

The rising number of drunks suggest that fan management is becoming increasingly important as our Rising Star journey progresses.

Slow and steady, stars!

Level 47 Stats

We went from level 40 to level 47 in just one month. Could only manage to accumulate around 1,000 STARBITS daily, sometimes slightly more. But never nearing 2,000.

Here's where we stand:

Level: 47

Fans: 180

Skill: 896 (181 from cards, 714 from lessons)

Luck: 143

Income Modifier (IM): 3

Ego: 20.7% (manageable with music lessons)

STARBITS: 50,529 earned so far

Time flies so fast when rushing from one gig to another.

🎯 Goals Check-In

Before looking ahead, let's revisit the goals I set in my first report and see how the band actually performed.

➊ Unlock the path to new band members.

⏳ Status: In Progress

This October, I am still hopeful that the band can finally unlock the new band members by completing band auditions missions.

➋ Reach 250+ Fans

❌ Status: Not Achieved

While the fanbase has continued to support the band, the target remains out of reach for now.

➌ Keep Ego Under Control

✅ Status: Mostly Achieved

We have achieved our goal of keeping the ego under 40 the whole month through. This October, I'm going to keep it around 20 to 25, and if possible end the month with the ego below 20.

➍ Earn 50,000 STARBITS

✅ Status: Achieved

This goal has officially been completed. We are now aiming for another 50,000 STARBITS for October.

➎ Unlock a New Rare Card

❌ Status: Not Achieved

No new cards yet. This will be the next goal moving forward. Staying true to the initial goal, I'm planning to buy a pack of 10 new cards once I reach 100,000 STARBITS.

In addition to all the above-mentioned goals, I've also managed to complete the Add to Raves Dance Pool task for 5 days in September and earned 5 STARDUST. This October I'm going to keep the number at least the same.

No Big Purchases... Yet

Just a quick highlight to say that despite staying active every single day, the band still has:

• No new cards
• No new vehicles
• No new band members
• NO PETS

And while we have earned around 50,000 STARBITS, that's not quite enough to make a meaningful upgrade without dipping into savings.

Now for something a little bit more fun.

The Bald Guy Paradox (To Keep Things Fun 🎭)

Looking at the Manage Your Band page, I realized something strange.

There are cards for singers, band members, instruments, artists, managers, and even vehicles.

Yet Rising Star insists that the bald fellow in white trousers is "how I appear on stage." (I know we can change the appearance with some STARBITS, but this is beyond that. Something philosophical is brewing..)

This really begs the question: so who am I?

Am I a roadie? A superfan? A stalker with excellent organizational skills?

Who is this man in white trousers, and why is he apparently the most important person in the band?

Because then I start to think about it. Creatively, of course. Trying to let it inspire my writing here.

I can't be the singer, because there's a card slot for that.

I can't be Band Member #1, #2, #3, or #4. Those slots exist too.

I can't be the artist, because that's also another card.

And I'm definitely not the manager, because again, there's already a card for that.

So I listed down several options. All the things I could realistically be and probably could get away with.. in relation to the band.

Theory #1: The Roadie

I'm hauling amps, untangling cables, setting up stage lights, and somehow doing all the actual work while everyone else gets the glory.

But then again... why is the roadie standing center stage? That would look suspicious, right?

Theory #2: The Band's #1 Fan

I started with nothing. Bought everyone their instruments, hired the musicians, arranged for transportation (albeit a cheap car), found a manager, and funded the whole operation in its entirety.

Meanwhile, the actual band members are still missing.

This sounds more plausible, am I right?

Theory #3: The Stalker

I follow the band to every gig. I know their schedules. I know exactly how many pizzas they ate. I track their coffee consumption. I monitor the drunks they let into their circle. I obsessively count their every STARBITS. I sound a little bit creepy, don't I? 🤣

Disclaimer, though.

The Bald Guy paradox isn't meant to be taken too seriously. It's simply my attempt to make card collecting and account progression a little more entertaining by dressing them up in philosophy. The idea was, what would a bald person be when a bald person stops being bald.

So what do you think? Is the bald guy the roadie? The superfan? The super-skilled stalker? The band's pet? The band's cheap car driver doubling as social media manager?

Final Thoughts

October has been about steady progress and showing up every day. The first 50,000 STARBITS milestone is now behind us, and we're well on our way to reach another 50,000.
