Happy Friday, Splinterlands and Hiver community! October is here, welcoming us with a new bracket system where we’ll face other manual players, as well as a new reward system based on "reward points"—and, of course, our familiar Glint token. From what I’ve seen so far in the Silver bracket (which is the one I chose), the battles have been quite enjoyable, and you can find matches without long wait times. However, I don't think I'll be very active in Modern ranked play this season because I just bought new Conclave Arcana Archons! I had waited weeks to finally purchase them, but before getting into that, I want to share the results of the special foil reward card lottery; although we didn't manage to pull a card this time, we are already halfway to the Lucky Coins needed to acquire a "consolation" card for participating in these draws.

Octubre ya esta aquí y nos recibe con un nuevo sistema de brackets donde enfrentaremos a otros jugadores manuales y también un nuevo sistema de recompensas basados en "puntos de recompensas" y por supuesto nuestro acostumbrado token Glint. Hasta donde he visto, en el bracket de plata que fue el que escogí las batallas se han disfrutado bastante y consigues batallas sin esperar tanto tiempo. Sin embargo, creo que esta temporada no voy a estar muy activo en el ranked de modern ya que acabo de comprar nuevos arcontes de conclave arcana! Había esperado semanas para finalmente comprarlos, pero antes de entrar en ese tema te comparto el resultado de la lotería por cartas rewards de lámina especial, que aunque no logramos obtener alguna carta, ya estamos a mitad de las Lucky Coins necesarias para adquirir una carta de "consolación" por participar en estos sorteos.

I have high hopes for this card because I just bought a Death-class Archon that has an affinity for the Gnome lineage, and this card belongs to that very lineage. It really appeals to me because, despite being a 7-mana card, it features a combined attack and the random attack ability! I could simply buy this card on the market, but I enjoy sharing every achievement earned through effort in Splinterlands—so we'll see how the card performs once we get our hands on it.

Tengo mucha expectativas por esta carta ya que acabo de comprar un arconte de la clase muerte que tiene afinidad con el linaje de gnomos y precisamente esta carta es de ese linaje. Me llama la atención porque aunque es una carta de 7 de mana, tiene ataque combinado y además tiene la habilidad de ataque aleatorio! Podría simplemente comprar esta carta en el mercado, pero me disfruto de compartir cada logro por esfuerzo en Splinterlands, así que ya veremos que tal es esta carta cuando la tengamos en nuestras manos.

After a long wait, I was finally able to fund my wallet and buy another batch of Archons and units needed to bolster my Modern strategies, acquiring cards exclusively from the Conclave Arcana set. Let's start with the Archons; I bought two of them this time. The first is Elowen Sylphie, the sixth legendary Archon from the Core set. I bought it at just the right moment because, a few months ago, it was one of the most expensive cards—which made me hesitate about acquiring it—but at the start of this month, I found it for under $7, so I didn't miss the chance to pick it up.

Después de tanto esperar, finalmente pude fondsear mi billetera y comprar otro lote de arcontes y unidades que necesito para reforzar mis estrategias en moderno adquiriendo cartas exclusivamente del set Conclave Arcana. Empecemos por los arcontes, en esta ocasión compré 2 de ellos, el primero es Elowen Sylphie el 6to arconte legendario del set core. Lo compre en el momento justo porque hace unos meses atrás era de las cartas más costosas y eso me estaba haciendo repensar si adquirir o no este arconte pero empezando este mes lo encontré en menos de 7$ así que no perdí la oportunidad de adquirirlo.

However, acquiring the Archon—while certainly a crucial step—is only the first one! I still need to acquire units that share this Archon's lineage to fully realize the potential of my strategies involving it. So, I'll be buying those cards soon and showing you the builds I create with them.

Sin embargo, la adquisición del arconte que ciertamente es un paso fundamental, es solo el primer paso! Todavía me falta adquirir unidades que compartan el linaje de este arconte para lograr un efecto total en mis estrategias con él. Next, we have Razi Clanktrap; in my opinion, this is one of the best Rare Archons in the Conclave Arcana Core Set. To give you an idea, I managed to secure victories in the old Diamond League using this Archon at Level 1, simply by leveraging the "Weapon Training" abilities that some cards possess right from the start. Now that it's at Level 4, I have a solid strategy in place using this Archon. In this case, I did buy a few units to boost its effectiveness.

Luego tenemos a Razi Clanktrap, este es a mi juicio uno de los mejores arcontes raros que tiene el set core de Conclave Arcana. Tan solo con decirte que he logrado victorias en la antigua liga de diamante usando este arconte en nivel 1, solo aprovechando las habilidades de weapons training que tienen desde el nivel 1 algunas cartas. Ahora en nivel 4 logramos tener una sólida estrategia usando este arconte. En este caso si que compre algunas unidades para reforzar su eficacia.

The first unit I bought to accompany this Archon was Lucky Longshot. I had previously made a post about buying the regular Level 1 version, but I soon realized its value was skyrocketing—to the point where a regular Level 3 copy cost $16! That’s too much for a regular Epic card at that level. Then I checked the Gold Foil versions and found that two copies (equivalent to Level 3) were going for $6.80! It was one of those opportunities you have to seize immediately. This card has appreciated in value because, at Level 3, it learns a second attack that it can transfer to others thanks to its "Weapon Training" ability.

La primera unidad que compré para acompañar a este arconte fue Lucky Longshot, ya había hecho un post anterior donde lo había comprado en su versión regular lvl 1, pero pronto me di cuenta que su valor estaba creciendo aceleradamente, hasta el punto que una copia lvl 3 regular de esta carta salía en 16$!! Demasiado para una épica regular a ese nivel, entonces revisé en láminas doradas y 2 copias de esta carta que equivalen al nivel 3 estaba en 6.8$! Fue una de esas oportunidades que tienes que aprovechar en el momento. Esta carta se ha valorizado porque en nivel 3 aprende un segundo ataque que puede transferir gracias a su habilidad weapons training.

Once you taste a "Gold" unit, it becomes a dangerous addiction! You start wanting to get them all in Gold!!! That’s how I decided to acquire a Level 5 Gold Foil Conclave Artificer to complement Lucky Longshot—specifically, to boost him with the "Weapons Training" ability. The added bonus of this card is that it’s neutral, so it can be used with other classes.

El sabor de una unidad dorada una vez que la pruebas se vuelve en una adicción peligrosa! Comienzas a querer tenerlas todas doradas!!! Así fue que decidí adquirir a Conclave Artificer lvl 5 GF como complemento de Lucky Longshot, es decir para beneficiarlo con la habilidad weapons training. El plus de esta carta es que es neutra así que puede usarse con otras clases.

Finally, we have Thragha; I needed a card like this because opponents usually have a magic unit that ends up taking down my tanks. This unit is designed to be a magic-resistant mini-tank that also possesses the "Flank" ability, meaning you can place any melee unit in the second position and it will gain the "Reach" ability.

Por último tenemos a Thragha, necesitaba una carta como esta ya que los contrincantes por lo general siempre tienen una unidad mágica que siempre termina doblegando a los tanques. Esta unidad esta diseñada para ser un mini tanque resistente a la magia que además cuenta con la habilidad flank por lo que puedes usar cualquier unidad melé en la segunda posición y tendrá la habilidad reach.

To wrap up this report, friends, I want to share the purchase and opening of 10 Hyper Chests from the Volt Event. It takes me a full three weeks to gather the tokens needed to buy them, which is why I don't report on this event very often. For now, though, I’ve got my Electrofox working the plot, hoping for a Gold Foil card that I can use with the Legendary Archon I just bought. Let’s see what was inside these chests!

Y para cerrar este reporte amigos, les quiero compartir la compra y apertura de 10 cofres Hyper del Volt Event, tardo 3 semanas completas en reunir los tokens necesarios para comprarlos por eso no hago reportes sobre este evento tan seguido. Pero por ahora mantengo a mi Electrofox trabajando en la parcela, esperando que salga una lámina dorada que pueda usar con el arconte legendario que acabo de comprar. Veamos entonces cual fue el contenido de estos cofres!

Well, we didn't get any skins or special foil cards, but at least we did get a large amount of Glints and, above all, ETN. To be honest, I haven't even touched them—I've been hoarding all this ETN—but when the event started, I transferred my first 10k to my wallet just to verify that it worked. Just what I have in the game is worth $38, and if I add in what I've already moved to my wallet, the total comes to $60! In short, we've already recouped 50% of our investment from the ETN alone!

Bueno no obtuvimos skins o cartas de lámina especial, pero al menos, lo si que nos dieron fue una gran cantidad de glints y sobre todo ETN. La verdad que ni los he tocado, he estado acumulando todos estos ETN, pero cuando empezó el evento pasé mis primeros 10K a mi billetera para verificar que funcionara. Tan solo con lo que tengo en el juego son 38$ y si sumo lo que ya he pasado a la billetera ya suman 60$! En resumen hemos ya recuperado el 50% de nuestra inversión solo con los ETN!

Alright friends, that covers my progress as we kick off my favorite month of the year! I feel like the game has recaptured much of the fun we enjoyed during the initial NFT craze, so I’m quite optimistic about the project's future; in fact, that’s the reason I’m investing exclusively in Conclave Arcana cards. I’m still missing quite a few, but by the end of this month, I’ll likely have the Legendary Fire Archon and will start working on the Escalation ones. Siento que el juego ha recobrado mucha de esa diversión que disfrutamos en aquella ola de los NFT por lo que soy bastante optimista del futuro del proyecto, de hecho esa es la razón por la que invierto solo en cartas Conclave Arcana. Aun me faltan muchas, pero ya para finales de este mes seguramente tendré el arconte legendario de fuego y empezaré con los de Escalation.
