Hello, Splinterlands friends! Yesterday brought the excitement of the first EoS under the new bracket system across various ranked formats, as well as the Halloween-themed event I’ve been eagerly awaiting! There’s a bit of everything: themed reward chests, skins for "Foundations" cards (though I believe those are already sold out), and skins for "Reward" cards purchasable with Glints and DEC. That’s not even counting the cosmetics that might drop from Jackpots—in short, there’s a lot to talk about regarding this week's events. I started by buying two commemorative stickers with charming designs, and I plan to pick up the rest soon, but let’s take a look at the overall results from the season that just wrapped up. Let’s go!

Ayer tuvimos la emoción de la llegada del 1er EoS bajo el nuevo esquema de brackets en los distintos formatos ranked, pero también el evento temático de Halloween que tanto estaba esperando! Hay de todo, cofres de recompensa temáticos, skins para las cartas Foundations (aunque creo que ya se agotó), skins para las cartas Reward comprables con Glints y DEC. Todo esto sin contar los cosméticos que puedan salir en los Jackpots, en definitiva mucho que comentar de lo que va de semana. Comencé por comprar 2 Sickers conmemorativos que tienen un diseño encantador y pronto me haré con el resto, pero veamos entonces cual fue nuestro balance general en esta temporada que acaba de terminar. Go!

Although I’ve been quite busy with work over the last week and a half, I managed to keep up the pace in the Modern ranked format. I was curious to see how much SPS I might earn—while I could track my Glint earnings in real-time as I went on winning streaks, the SPS rewards remained a mystery until the end. I chose the Silver bracket, as I’ve been actively acquiring units specifically for this league; even my "Conclave Arcana" Archons are all at the Silver league level. Although I’m still working on completing my collection for this set to fully flesh out my Silver-tier lineup, my performance in this bracket was outstanding! I managed to reach Division 3, which is roughly equivalent to the Diamond II league.

Aunque esta última semana y media estuve bastante ocupado en el trabajo, traté de mantener el ritmo en el ranked moderno ya que me intrigaba cuanto podrían llegar a darnos en SPS, porque en Glints ya podíamos hacerle seguimiento a medida que en rachábamos victorias. El bracket que escogí en el momento fue el de plata porque realmente estoy en los hechos comprando mis unidades para jugar en esta liga, incluso mis arcontes de Conclave Arcana, están todos en nivel de la liga de plata y aunque todavía estoy intentando completar las cartas de este set lo más rápido posible a esta liga, mi desempeño en este bracket fue sobresaliente! Llegamos hasta la división 3 que sería algo así como la liga de diamante II.

But let’s look at the rewards and how we fared under this new bracket system. Regarding Glints—the reward tokens—I had never seen such a high payout at the end of a season using my own staked SPS! More than 550k Glints is enough to buy the entire set of reward cards, with plenty left over to acquire all the card skins in the Glints shop. The downside, perhaps, is that SPS rewards—in the form of reward points—are notably low; going forward, it might be more beneficial for me to rent locked SPS to increase my SPS earnings per victory.

Pero veamos entonces en las recompensas como evaluamos en este nuevo sistema de brackets, En cuanto a los tokens de recompensas Glints jamás había visto que me dieran tantos Glints al terminar una temporada usando mis propios SPS bloqueados! My friend @elcristiano rented top-tier cards for the Diamond 5 bracket and tackled the challenge head-on; interestingly, while he didn't generate more Glints than I did, he did manage to earn up to 2k SPS. For now, I’ve decided to stay in the Silver bracket to stockpile Glints, as I’m still far from completing my reward card collection—and with these reward adjustments, I can finish the set faster than I originally expected.

Mi amigo @elcristiano alquilo cartas a tope del bracket5 de diamante y tomó por asalto semejante desafío, curiosamente no logró generar más Glints que yo pero si consiguió hasta 2K en SPS. Por ahora, mi decisión será quedarme en el bracket de plata para acumular grandes cantidades de Glints porque aun estoy muy lejos de completar mis cartas rewards y con esta modificación de las recompensas puedo completar mi set más rápido de lo que esperaba.

The first thing we did was buy the entire batch of available Epic cards; I’m only a few copies short of maxing them all out for the Silver league, so I think we can complete the set now—though the exception is the Dragon Epic I have in Gold Foil, as I’d need one extra copy to bring it to Level 3. But let’s see how we fared with this reveal of 25 Epic reward cards.

Lo primero que hicimos fue directamente comprar todo el lote de cartas épicas disponibles, ya solo me faltan pocas copias para tenerlas todas al tope de la liga de plata, así que con esto creo que podemos completarlas todas, aunque la excepción sería la épica dragón que tengo en lámina dorada, necesitaría una copia extra para llevarla a nivel 3. Pero veamos como nos fue con esta revelación de 25 cartas rewards épicas.

Just as I hoped, we managed to complete the copies for the cards I use most in Modern Ranked: Earth and Neutral. I still need to finish leveling up the Death Epic to Level 3; I’m used to playing it at Level 2 for now, but I won’t rest until I get the 10 copies needed to upgrade it.

Tal como esperaba logramos completar las copias de aquellas cartas que más utilizo en el ranked moderno: tierra y neutra. Queda por terminar de llevar al nivel 3 la épica de muerte por ahora estoy adaptado a usarla en nivel 2 pero no descansaré hasta conseguir las 10 copias que me faltan para upgradearla.

The first card we upgraded was Rila Fen to level 4, but we achieved this using copies obtained from reward chests while climbing through the various divisions; and although it is true that I cannot use her healing ability in Silver-tier brawls, I can use it in Wild with my Archons, which are maxed out for the Gold League.

La primera carta que upgradeamos fue Rila Fen a nivel 4, pero esto lo logramos con las copias que obtuvimos en los cofres de recompensas al abrirnos paso en las distintas divisiones y aunque es cierto que en el bracket de plata no puedo usar su habilidad de sanación en las brawls y en Wild si que puedo usarlo con mis arcontes que están a tope de la liga de oro.

Now, let's look at the two cards we powered up using purchased copies. The first was Tandi Janda (upgraded to level 3); this brings me a step closer to completing my Earth-class units—a substantial roster that is finally taking shape for use alongside my two legendary Archons. The second is a key component of my melee strategies involving Captain Frankie and Rodentian-lineage melee units: the Saltwraith Pirate! It now gains the "True Strike" ability, meaning its attacks cannot miss; it is a great low-mana addition that also features the convenient Lineage Tribute ability.

Vamos ahora con las 2 cartas que logramos empoderar con las cartas que compramos, la primera fue Tandi Janda a lvl 3 ya con esta carta doy un paso más para completar mis unidades de la clase tierra que no son pocas pero ya va adquiriendo forma para usarlo con mis 2 arcontes legendarios. La segunda es una pieza clave en mis estrategias melé con Captain Frankie y las unidades melé del linaje rodentian: Saltwraith Pirate! Ahora gana la habilidad true strike por lo que no puede fallar sus ataques, es un buen complemento para una carta de bajo mana y que además tiene la conveniente habilidad tributo de linaje.

We are still missing one copy of an Epic Death-class card. Whether it turns up in a reward chest as I climb the leagues or at the end of the season, I’m confident I’ll secure that final copy to bring it to level 3—effectively maxing it out for the Silver bracket.

Nos queda pendiente la carta épica de muerte, así que ya sea en algún cofre de recompensa al subir de liga o al final de la temporada seguramente conseguiremos la copia faltante de esta carta para llevarla a nivel 3 y tenerla maxeada para el bracket de plata.

I recall promising in a report last year that I wouldn't squander my precious Glints on skins, but this time, we’re making a major exception! First, because Halloween is my favorite time of year, and second, because the card designs are simply spectacular! Since we had plenty of Glints left over, we decided to treat ourselves.

Recuerdo que en alguno de mis reportes del año pasado había prometido no mal gastar mis valiosos glints en skins, pero en esta ocasión vamos hacer una importante excepción! Primero porque halloween es mi temporada favorita del año y segundo es que los diseños de estas cartas son sencillamente espectaculares! Como nos sobraron muchos glints nos dimos este lujo.

I started by purchasing all the common and rare skins; the Mana Warden, in particular, brought back fond memories. It was the first promo card I bought from the voucher shop, and it helped me immensely back when I was farming Glints to earn the Veteran title. I realized I only had it at Level 1, and although I’ve openly stated my dislike for the Rebellion set, I’m going to invest in this card to upgrade it to Level 2 so I can use it in the Silver bracket. Among the rare skins, the only one I liked was the Spooky Water Diviner—likely due to the fondness I’ve developed for it while using it alongside the rare Death Archon.

Comenzamos comprando todas las skins comunes y raras, particularmente el Mana Warden me trajo gratos recuerdos, esta fue mi primera carta promocional que compré en la tienda de vouchers y me ayudó muchísimo en la época que estaba farmeando glints para hacerme con el título de veterano. Me di cuenta que la tenía en nivel 1 y aunque si es cierto que he declarado mi odio por el set Rebellion, haré una inversión en esta carta para llevarla a nivel 2 y poder usarla en el bracket de plata. De las skins raras, solo me gustó Spooky Water Diviner, debe ser por el cariño que le he tomado al usarla con el arconte raro de muerte.

Next, I moved on to the epic cards. I was more selective here, buying two of the three available: the Spooky Auroral Elemental—which I haven't used in battle yet, as I'm waiting to upgrade it to level 3—and the Spooky Voss. The latter has become my favorite skin thanks to its Merlin-esque wizard design, which suits an owl perfectly!

Luego pasamos a las cartas épicas, aquí si fui más discreto, compré 2 de las 3 épicas: Spooky Auroral Elemental del que aún no he usado en combate ya que estoy esperando a subirla a nivel 3 y Spooky Voss que se ha convertido en mi skin favorita por ese diseño de mago merlinesco que le queda muy adecuado para ser una lechuza!

We wrap things up with the legendary skins, friends. I was selective here as well, buying all the ones available for Glints except for Gorvash the Pale. My favorite design is the Spooky Filthy Scavenger because it looks like the Mad Hatter—it suits the character perfectly!

Cerramos con las skins legendarias amigos, aquí también fui discreto, compre todas las que se compran con glints, a excepción de Gorvash The Pale. Mi diseño favorito es el de Spooky Filthy Scavenger porque parece el Sombrerero Loco y sin duda que le queda perfecto!

Then we have the skins for Spooky Mahkah Hemlig—one of the most recent legendary cards I bought on the market—and Spooky Azhar Ibn Sulaim, the Fire-class legendary. Since I haven't bought the legendary Fire Archon yet, I haven't actively focused on acquiring cards of this class. However, given the amount of Glints we're earning, we'll soon be buying legendary reward cards, and this one will very likely end up in our collection—so I decided to get a head start by purchasing this wonderful skin.

Luego tenemos los skins de Spooky Mahkah Hemlig una de mis más recientes cartas legendarias que compre en el mercado y Spooky Azhar Ibn Sulaim, la legendaria de clase fuego, como aún no compro el arconte legendario de fuego, no me he dedicado a adquirir activamente cartas de esta clase pero con la cantidad de glints que estamos recibiendo pronto pasaremos a comprar cartas de recompensas legendarias y muy posiblemente esta carta termine en nuestras manos, así que nos adelantaremos comprando esta maravillosa skin.

For now, these are the skins I bought using only Glints; there are still two Legendary skins available for purchase with DEC, and I'm tempted to get them! The jackpot and chest skins are also still to come, so there is still plenty to discover in this Splinterlands Halloween event.

Por ahora estas son las skins que compré solo con glints, quedan 2 legendarias comprables con Dec y me están tentando a comprarlas! También faltan las skins de jackpot y de los cofres así que todavía hay mucho que descubrir en este evento de Halloween de Splinterlands.

Overall, I really love the bracket system; it’s more organized, and you avoid the issue of being matched against players who are three or four levels above you. The rewards are the tricky part—many people might be complaining that the SPS payout is too low. Personally, before passing judgment on that, I’d like to rent a good amount of SPS and see if there’s any significant difference by the end of the season. I am, however, very satisfied with the Glints being awarded; I’m now confident I can complete my collection of reward cards before the year ends, with enough Glints left over to buy potions and skins from the shop. My goal for the next End of Season (EoS) is to get that "spooky" Captain Frankie skin—it looks absolutely spectacular. I believe it drops from chests, so I’ll soon be opening a large number of Ultimate Chests and keeping my fingers crossed that I get it. See you in the next post. Cheers!

Bien amigos, en líneas generales el sistema de brackets me ha encantado, es más ordenado y no tienes el problema del emparejamiento con jugadores que te sacan 3 o 4 niveles por encima. El detalle está en la recompensas, quizás muchos se puedan estar quejando de que sean pocos SPS, en mi caso antes de emitir algún juicio en este aspecto me gustaría alquilar una buena cantidad de SPS y evaluar al final de la temporada si hay alguna variación significativa. Donde si estoy muy satisfecho es en los glints que están dando, ahora si puedo estar seguro de completar mis cartas rewards antes de finalizar el año y además me sobrarían glints para comprar pociones y skins en la tienda. Mi meta para el próximo EoS es conseguir esa spooky skin de Captain Frankie que es simplemente espectacular, creo que se consigue en los cofres, así que próximamente estaré abriendo grandes cantidades de cofres ultimate y cruzar los dedos para obtenerla.
