The Parallels between Elonzo Musky and Back to the Future are extreme. And many people now believe that Musky is building a flying car.

statist question: But, without the govern-cement, who will build the roads?
anarcho-futurists response: Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads.

And, they are not wrong, but they are wrong.

It's all wrong, and destroying the environment.
We really should fix this.

Batteries are just a fad

Free energy is coming. As soon as humanity stops thinking about using it for war.

All the electric cars being produced right now are a weird anomaly. If we look back from the future, we will see that battery powered electric vehicles were just a blip in time. A speed bump on the way to the future.

However, we won't know that, until it has already become a thing.

It is so sad that people buy (battery powered) electric cars to "save the environment" when Lithium Ion battery construction produces more pollution than an ICE does over its entire life. And then, power this "car" with electricity from coal fired power plants. (or oil fired. less than 10% wind and solar)

I would be out petitioning for the banning LiIon batteries, if it wasn't a necessary step getting people used to electric vehicles. (I will probably look back and think, shoulda got them banned, it really didn't help)

Fortunately, magnet motors should be out in a few years, and then we can really get started on electric vehicles. But, by then, we will be getting rid of the wheels

Flying Cars

As soon as we get over our "love" for Einstein and Newton. We can then discard the Theory of Gravity (based on mass), and start making flying cars.

We are already making lifters, that float in the air when charged up to about a million volts. And people, will soon make them bigger. And then decide to ride on them.

Electro-gravitics, will again, become a thing. Maybe a new name, but mass isn't the beginning of gravity. We will have massless objects soon. And then we will strap a seat and handle bars on them, and away we go.

No longer will we be constrained by tire manufacturers charging us an arm and a leg for new treads… i mean, constrained by roads. We will driving through the air.

The future of transport

But this doesn't end up with freeways in the sky as we see in so many future dystopian movies. Most people won't go anywhere.

During this same time, people are going to move to be with their "families" (tribes, small communities) where they will be mostly self sufficient. And going to the store, won't really be a thing anymore.

Deliveries will be via automated train cars that travel around on a monorail. Most of the "families" will have a spur out to their community. Packages will just show up on the train.

If you are living with your bestest friends, and you grow all your own food, and you have internet-hologram-phone calls to the rest of your friends, why do you need to go anywhere? The "job" is within walking distance, and grocery store, is just over in that garden bed, and your friends are within shouting distance, where do you need to drive?

This is really the main thing. All of our reliance on cars, work, shopping, going to school, just ends. After you form your small community, you will probably go out less than once a week. And as more people form into such communities, we will go out less. And when we get in the automated package delivery trains, we will go out even less.

So, the sky will not be filled with cars. It will be something else.

Isn't it interesting how we have put so much thought and innovation into building cars, and then have the automakers sit on lots more innovation, and work hard on planned obsolescence, to have that all just go away?

We are so reliant on cars for our lifestyle. We have built roads everywhere. And, then, with just a few modification to how people live, it just becomes unneeded.

So, we will have magnet motor powered electric vehicles… just before we no longer need them.
We will be looking for, extracting, having wars over, oil… just before we no longer need them.
We will say that free-energy devices can't work… just before we all have one in our cars.

It's all coming.

The eco-terrorists will be hella mad! As soon as we get out this new technology, they will be complaining how it should have been out sooner. Not realizing that getting together in small communities just gets rid of most of what they were complaining about anyways.

Look forward to it.
