There are things that are important that weren't brought up here.
The clear winner is bitcoin, but we have to add some more to the story.
There are stockpiles of gold that we do not know about and do not count. If we started trading in gold, we could see someone destroy the market by dropping a bunch of gold on the market.
Rots-childs has lots of gold. Humanity's enemy owns most of the gold. Thus, if we trade in it, we are at risk of them diluting the market, or worse, paying mercenaries to use against us, with it.
There is a lot of gold out there to be mined, and tech will come out that lets us just vibrate it out of stone. Even just filtering sea water…
On the other side, bitcoin will soon cross the physical/digital barrier. This is going to be neat.
Next, internet, everywhere on the planet will be achieved through new tech, and nations won't be able to block it.
Lastly, it will be a bunch of coins that we use for everyday spending. Bitcoin will be used by govern-cements handling trade deficits and businesses doing large business.
