Fortunately, the tools i use just convert imperial to metric and back.

And yes, centimeters are about the right size when talking about the little things one can print on a standard 3D printer.

My biggest problem is understanding fits. I know them in imperial, in metal. I do not know them that well in printed plastic. (talking about 5 thou slip fit, or 5 thou under compression fit, and the like.)
