3D printing is fun. It is more fun to CNC machine a injection mold and make a dozen parts in one go.

Or machine complex parts in metal.

I like 3D printing - plastic layer deposition because it is so… non-painful when things go wrong.
Just clean everything up, start again. It is just a spool of plastic wasted. The fear of messing up is not as great.
